22) June 6th, 2017:Next Week
"The Conversion of Saul the Persecutor" In this lesson we will learn how the chief persecutor of the early church, Saul, became the chief missionary of the church. The conversion of Saul, who was arresting and murdering early church Christians, is the one of the most powerful examples of Jesus' ability to break into any heart, no matter how hardened. Join as us we marvel at Jesus' plan of redemption and unfailing love!
"The Persecution of the Early Church" Jesus' plan of redemption is advanced through both struggles and joys. We see this principle clearly in Acts 8 as the early church spreads and grows due to persecution. The very acts that were intended to end the church caused it to expand! Join us to learn how human resistance to Jesus' plan of redemption actually caused His plan to advance rather than fail.
"Stephen's Last Words" Stephen was a devoted follower of Christ who courageously bore witness to Jesus as Savior and Lord. Ultimately, he was executed for preaching his beliefs. But the man who oversaw Stephen's execution, Saul, would eventually come to believe in Jesus and become arguably the greatest missionary of all time. Join us as we study the beauty of Stephen's gospel proclamation and see Jesus' plan of redemption unfold and win the day even through horrible circumstances and hardened hearts.
"Arrested for Healing" Peter and John healed a man who could not walk since birth. They gave glory to God for the healing, but they were arrested, questioned, and threatened for their actions. Tune in to learn more about this scripture as well as how it applies to our lives today and how it fits in with Jesus plan of redemption.
"Pentecost: A Promise Fulfilled" Join us as we study the day of Pentecost and the promise it fulfilled. We will also seek to understand what the "filling" of the Holy Spirit meant for the Disciples, what it means for us today, and how it all fits into Jesus' plan of redemption.
"The Ascension" What does it mean that Jesus "ascended into heaven"? Did He just levitate to heaven, leaving the rest of us behind to fend for ourselves? Or is there more to this story? Join us to find out the answers to these important questions!
"The Last 40 Days" After Jesus rose from death, He walked the Earth for 40 days. But what did He do during that time? In this study we will look at Jesus' actions during those 40 days between the resurrection and His ascension into heaven, and see how they tie into His purposeful plan of redemption!
"It is Finished" In this study we will look at Jesus' death on the cross. We will examine the depths of love and grace poured out for us, as Jesus died in our place, for our sins! Join us as we marvel at the love of grace of our great God!
"The Garden of Gethsemane" In this study we will examine Jesus' final hours before His arrest in the Garden of Gethsemane. We will do this to learn from the ways that Jesus as a man viewed His arrest, torture and death. Together we will learn how to persevere in the face of trials and keep our eyes focused on God's will, just like Jesus did!
"The Last Supper" Most of us know our celebration of communion or Eucharist at church comes from the Last Supper. But we may not realize just how deeply this sacred meal ties into Jesus' plan of redemption. Join us as we study the Last Supper and discover how deeply it ties together Jesus' plan of redemption.
"The Triumphal Entry" In this study we will examine Jesus' Triumphal entry into Jerusalem, which we celebrate in the church today on "Palm Sunday". Why was Jesus entering a city such a big deal? Why do we still celebrate it today? What does this have to do with Jesus plan of redemption? Tune in to find out!
9) February 28, 2017 "Jesus Sends Out the Twelve" In this study we will examine Jesus commissioning of His 12 Disciples to go out and minister in order to learn more about what it means for us to live out the Great Commission.
"At the Feet of Jesus" In this Bible study we will sit at Jesus' feet with the disciples and learn from Jesus' teaching as well as deepen our understanding of the importance of having Jesus as our Teacher!
